The 934th Airlift Wing held its annual Family Day Aug 5.
More than 1,600 family and friends attended the event, along with honored civilian employers who were able to take an orientation flight on the Boeing C-130 Hercules.
The Flying Vikings Chapter members retired Lt. Col. Anne Jones, Chapter President Col. Gia Wilson-Mackey and Dr. Cathy Luke of the STARs program (seen in photo above) proudly represented ROA at the event taking the opportunity to engage families and the community.
The Flying Vikings Chapter trio distributed information on ROA and its role in the support of the Air Reserve Component members was given out as well as STARs packets.
The highlight of the day was the drawing for a C-130 model. One of the family members, Andrew, was the grand prize winner taking home the coveted prize.
